To use your Blue Ox Patriot, Patriot II, or Patriot 3 with more than one car, you will need to add this breakaway switch to the second towed vehicle. Also replaces a damaged or broken switch.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the second vehicle breakaway kit for the Blue Ox Patriot supplemental braking systems. Now if you wanna transfer your Blue Ox Patriot or Patriot Two tow bar braking system between towed vehicles. You'll need this breakaway switch kit for the second vehicle. This'll act as an add on break away kit for that second towed vehicle. You install the breakaway in the tow car and then just simply transfer your braking system between towed vehicles. This will also serve as a replacement for a broken breakaway switch.
This is designed to work with them Blue Ox Patriot, part number BRK2012 or the Patriot Two, part number BRK2016. Both those supplemental braking systems, we do sell separately on our website. Now this part will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the breakaway switch itself, the breakaway cable and then the breakaway lanyard. And these parts are made in the USA.
But that should do it for the review on the second vehicle breakaway kit for the Blue Ox Patriot supplemental braking systems.

Installed this unit along with Baseplate BX2258 onto Honda CRV. Quality parts and cable length was perfect, leaving apx. 12 inches to spare [for wire routing differences] and service loop to reduce/eliminate any strain on wires when installed.
Note: Baseplate also came with nice stepped (z-angle?) that enabled very easy mounting of the break-away switch. Plan on having rubber grommets and some RTV to seal hole thru firewall needed to route wires from engine compartment into cab area, which took an unplanned trip to local parts store.

I used the brake away kit and thank heaven havent found out that it works which means the car didnt break away from the rv.
